Dragana Damjanovic has been Professor of Administrative Law at the Institute for Constitutional and Administrative Law since March 2025. Previously, from March 2020 to February 2025, she was a university professor of public law and head of the legal research department at TU Wien, and from March 2018 to February 2020, she was a private lecturer and deputy head of the Institute of Law at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna.<\/p>\n

Nach dem Studium der Rechtswissenschaft an der Universit\u00e4t Wien und der Universidad de Alcal\u00e0 in Spanien (Mag.iur, Dr. iur) und einem postgradualen Studium an der University of California, Boalthall School of Law (LL.M), habilitierte sie sich 2015 mit einer Arbeit zum Thema \u201eLegal Structures of the EU Social Market Economy“ an der Wirtschaftsuniversit\u00e4t Wien f\u00fcr die F\u00e4cher \u00d6ffentliches Recht und Europarecht. Im Rahmen ihrer Arbeiten zur Habilitation war sie Gastforscherin an in- und ausl\u00e4ndischen Universit\u00e4ten, darunter am Europ\u00e4ischen Hochschulinstitut in Florenz. Zuvor arbeitete sie in einer internationalen Wirtschaftskanzlei.<\/p>\n

Her research focuses on public economic law, climate protection and environmental law. Her academic interests include issues relating to state control of markets, particularly those providing public services, with a view to shaping sustainable social structures. She has extensive experience in managing and conducting interdisciplinary research projects.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Iris\n

Iris Eisenberger ist Professorin f\u00fcr Innovation und \u00d6ffentliches Recht am Institut f\u00fcr Innovation und Digitalisierung im Recht. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Innovations- und Technologierecht, Grund- und Menschenrechtsschutz sowie an der Schnittstelle von Recht, Innovation und Gesellschaft. Nach dem Studium der Rechtswissenschaften an der Universit\u00e4t Graz und der Universidad de Valladolid, Spanien (Mag. iur, Dr. iur), und dem Studium der politischen Theorie an der London School of Economics and Political Science (M.Sc.) habilitierte sie sich mit einer Arbeit zum Innovationsrecht an der Rechtswissenschaftlichen Fakult\u00e4t der Universit\u00e4t Wien f\u00fcr die F\u00e4cher Verfassungsrecht, Verwaltungsrecht und die damit zusammenh\u00e4ngenden Bereiche des Europarechts.<\/p>\n

Von J\u00e4nner 2016 bis Februar 2020 war sie Professorin f\u00fcr Rechtswissenschaften und Leiterin des Instituts f\u00fcr Rechtswissenschaften an der Universit\u00e4t f\u00fcr Bodenkultur Wien. Von M\u00e4rz 2020 bis Februar 2022 war sie Professorin f\u00fcr \u00d6ffentliches Recht und Europ\u00e4isches Wirtschaftsrecht an der Universit\u00e4t Graz. Sie hat umfangreiche Erfahrung in der Durchf\u00fchrung und Leitung von nationalen und internationalen interdisziplin\u00e4ren Forschungsprojekten. Sie arbeitete unter anderem im \u00f6sterreichischen und im europ\u00e4ischen Parlament sowie im Bundeskanzleramt-Verfassungsdienst. Als Gastforscherin bzw. Gastprofessorin war sie an zahlreichen ausl\u00e4ndischen Universit\u00e4ten t\u00e4tig, darunter am Europ\u00e4ischen Hochschulinstitut in Florenz, am Institut f\u00fcr Staatswissenschaft und Rechtsphilosophie an der Universit\u00e4t Freiburg im Breisgau, im Program on Science, Society and Technology an der Harvard University, an der Mekelle University in \u00c4thiopien, an der Jigme Singye Wangchuck School of Law in Bhutan, an der University of Macau in China und an der Technischen Universit\u00e4t M\u00fcnchen.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Verena\n

Verena Madner is Professor of Public Law, Environmental Law and Public and Urban Governance at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and Vice-President of the Austrian Constitutional Court.<\/p>\n

Verena Madner graduated in law from the University of Vienna (Mag.iur.; Dr. iur.). She has been head of the Institute for Law and Governance at the Vienna University of Economics and Business since 2019 and is co-director of the Research Institute for Urban Management and Governance (since 2011). Verena Madner is deputy chair of the board of the Forum Verfassung foundation.<\/p>\n

She teaches and conducts research in particular on environmental, infrastructure and planning law, as well as in the field of multilevel policy and governance. Her current focus is on the challenges of socio-ecological transformation. Verena Madner has extensive experience in managing national and international interdisciplinary research projects, including in climate protection, sustainable urban development, globalisation and European trade policy.<\/p>\n

Verena Madner has enlisted the collaboration of two internationally renowned colleagues, Dragana Damjanovic and Iris Eisenberger, to develop the concept of the Law Salon.
